Making a Difference one Person at a Time

John M. Carter is currently an entrepreneur and former chief of Police for the City of Crofton. The newly elected Mayor for Crofton in 2022, RobertEvans, stated Carter and another black Sergeant made the town “too dark” and dismissed the both of them from police services in the city and hired the Sheriff’s Office to patrol the town. Carter served as an Intelligence Analyst in the United States Marine Corps until the first Gulf War before becoming a police officer and eventually served as interim Chief of Police in Tekamah, Nebraska. Carter practiced law in the areas of taxation, bankruptcy and consumer law.
